With this new settlement, if the NCAA is to pay athletes - does that mean the colleges now have to pay employee taxes? Do the athletes now have to pay income taxes? That seems fair... Wow - this was a surprise but Morgan Spurlock (of Supersize Me fame) has passed away at 53 from cancer... People have noted that many of my random thoughts and observations could well be an article onto itself. That I'd just have to expand the idea by fleshing out the details. Not sure if its just laziness on my part or I know many the details already that I would be documenting and assume that most of you do as well. Maybe it's just laziness... Ticketmaster and Live Nation are being sued by the DOJ and the Biden Administration. The 2010 merger of the two companies was approved by the Obama Administration with Biden as VP. Has anyone asked Barack about this suit?... A very underrated application is the Notes function on most smartphones. I used to carry around a small notebook (which ended up being used mostly for keeping score at cards) and I would occasionally jot down a random thought on that. Now I've stopped that because I almost always have my smartphone with me and I use Notes to jot down that random thought or observations. You should try this if you don't already... This is cool... Aaron Nesmith of the Indiana Pacers is a valuable member of their rotation, averaging 12.2 points per game and 3.8 rebounds this season. He was originally drafted by Boston but only appeared in 4 games in his two seasons with the Celtics. We have to wonder what could have been but by the same token his trade was used to help net Boston Jrue Holiday... Learn something new every day: the cult film Billy Jack was financially backed by Hollywood stars like Marlon Brando, Jack Lemmon, and Candice Bergen which made it possible... Was not aware of this history... If you own a home - you have home insurance. If you have a car - you have car insurance. But if you're a GM of a pro sports team you're somehow concerned about offending your players? Nobody worries about offending their home or car. GM's should have depth at all positions as insurance. The more important the position - the better the backup you need as insurance... Should I feel bad that I've never seen a Knives Out movie now that they have announced the third installment Wake Up Dead Man? Everyone who saw the original liked it...
