Would be awesome if Patriot’s pick Will Campbell’s quote, “I’m going to fight and die with everything I’ve got” became the new marriage vow in New England… Catholics around the globe rejoice… Reportedly VP JD Vance told English PM Ken Starmer he must repeal the UK's hate speech laws in order to get a free trade deal with the US. Good for Vance and I hope Starmer is smart enough to understand he's probably dealing with the next President who's completely serious about this. Free speech or get used to higher tariffs - his choice... Lord I've seen what you've done for Argentina and I want that for us... What I want to see is RICO charges from the DOJ against ActBlue C-level executives for nationwide fraud and election tampering. Think enough evidence is in for these charges by now... I'm old enough to remember when Jimmy Carter instituted a nationwide 55 Mph speed limit and Louisiana said "No." The federal government said follow the policies of the federal government or no federal transportation grants for you. Nobody complained or ran to sympathetic judges when Louisiana forwent those funds... I'm not curious how many NFL 1st round picks came from the SEC or Big 10 - I'm curious how many picks had NIL deals over $500,000. Can we track that stat?... He's not wrong... Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins officially banned illegal aliens from receiving SNAP and food stamp benefits. Average Americans say, "Wait that wasn’t were banned already?"... Jack Black should have been in the movie just out of tribute to his mom... Conspiracy theory - what if all these lawsuits against the Trump Administration aren’t aimed at harming Trump but to keep his DOJ preoccupied so they don’t have time to release the Epstein client list?… She's not wrong... Former Congressman George Santos as a last gasp attempt at sympathy says he’s an MS-13 gang member in hope Democrats will protest his sentencing to jail…

Concerning the issue of federal funding and state law, the Solomon Amendment (enacted in 1996) mandates that institutions of higher education allow military recruiters (and ROTC) access to campus. If they failed to do so - the schools risked losing federal funding.
Like the speed limit, that's how the the BAC limit for DUI was lowered in states - it was the potential loss of federal highway dollars.
A state or a school doesn't have to change its laws or rules, but they also don't have to receive federal funding either.
