Sir Walter Raleigh once observed, "Whosoever commands the seas commands the trade of the world; whosoever commands the trade of the world commands the riches of the world." This seems to sum up modern China's plans in a nutshell. They command the bulk of the world's cargo ships and manufacturing... Wonder how Duke alumni feel about North Carolina being known as the Tar Heel state?... Aaron Donald announced his retirement after just 10-years in the NFL. I always felt he was the best, if not among the best defensive players in the league and there's no doubt in my mind he belongs in the Hall of Fame... Wonder if companies who do DEI do so just because they're not allowed to post any "No Irish need apply" signs anymore. Only kind of kidding about this... Have to admit that if it wasn't for seeing clips of Don Lemon saying stupid things - Don Lemmon would never be on my radar at all. Probably wouldn't even know who he is... And just like that Michigan fires Juwan Howard as basketball coach... Still say that if all healthcare policies came with a gym membership the US would make great progress in solving the obesity epidemic... Remember growing up and we were taught that the CIA never did anything on US soil? Them even doing so would be illegal. When did that all change and the CIA started running operations on US citizens on US soil regularly?… It would be funny if Jussie Smollett was hired to play the lead in The Don Lemon story... Admit that I’m curious how many Congresspeople resigning their term in office are leaving Washington as actual millionaires? Guessing this is more common that people actually being “exhausted”… Think author Ron Chernow may have summed up Ulysses S. Grant best when he wrote, “Grant was not only the most competent of Lincoln’s generals but the most trustworthy, following no hidden agenda.” Grant knew he couldn’t make peace with the Confederates because they would never give up slavery and the Union would never allow them to keep slavery… Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!!!…
