Happy Patriots Day! A holiday only celebrated in Massachusetts which is supposed to commemorate the Battle of Lexington and Concord (aka “the shot heard round the world”) but instead is now mostly known as Marathon Monday and the running of the Boston Marathon… Think if anyone decided to run against Fani Willis for DA in Georgia they'd get a lot of free publicity from the media who would cover that as news. They used to love "Corrupt politician gets comeuppance" stories... Think Systemic Errors would be a good name for a band or an article on our current government... Was never a Piers Morgan fan anyway... Learn something new every day: the only Dodge City shooting attributed to lawman Wyatt Earp was of a drunk cowboy attending a show by funnyman Eddie Foy. The cowboy shot into a wall causing Foy to hit the deck while Earp and another lawman shot the cowboy... OK I'll say it! I have to wonder if TV executives at ABC sometimes root against Tiger Woods at the Masters because they are competing for many of the same eyeballs with their NBA coverage... Good question... Who could have guessed that Costco would emerge as one of the largest sellers of gold bars in the country? They sell up to $200 million a month… The Sargasso Sea. If you read the article you’ll probably figure out the book that made me curious in the first place.. Many companies that were spending on DEI are now also spending on higher interest rates. These two things are not unrelated… I like puns… Glad to see Scottie Scheffler win the Masters but admit I was kinda rooting for Max Homa or Colin Morikawa to win because I was curious what sort of menu they’d prepare for next year’s champions dinner…
