What a great ending to the Celtics-Nets game yesterday. An instant classic! Might be blasphemy to some but that ending was right up there with Bird stealing the ball from Isaiah Thomas for me... Elon Musk has 82 million followers on Twitter. If his bid to buy Twitter falls through and he announces a competing platform and he also announces he's leaving Twitter - how many of his followers would also leave? What would a mass exodus like that do to Twitter's stock price?... In the mid-19th century when the field of statistics was new, in England it was known as "political arithmetic." Given the way the CDC has handled Covid statistics maybe we should go back to calling it political arithmetic for any numbers coming out from the government... Kyrie Irving is such a putz. He quit on the Celtics when he played in Boston and he's surprised the fans dislike him so much? The man is a hemorrhoid... If Elon Musk did announce a competing platform - it would probably have at least 20 million users within 3-months. And many advertising dollars would follow. What would that do to Twitter's revenues in a quarter or two?...  1968 was a crazy year and many have the opinion that widespread use of LSD may be partly to blame. What drug could be blamed for the craziness we're going though today?... If Twitter does not allow a vote of the shareholders on Musk's offer of $54.20 per share and the share price does tank because of the poison-pill - Twitter is basically just begging for a class-action shareholder lawsuit.... Can you even buy a new car today without power windows?  Seriously - these are the questions that keep me up at night... Elon Musk is a sci-fi fan so it amuses me to think that if he did leave Twitter that his last Tweet could be, "So long and thanks for all the fish!"... The woke culture ritual denouncing of personal white privilege is the modern equivalent of medieval organized flagellation and just as practical as far as making a difference... If I had to predict - I'd say Twitter stock will be about $25 per share a year from now (assuming Musk's offer is rebuffed)...
