Reportedly the Russians have already lost 10% of all their operational tanks in their entire army. The war of attrition cuts both ways but Ukraine may have an edge in that Western nations are NOW willing to send them the Stingers, and Javelins and other weaponry for free whereas how is Russia going to replace their material?... A major part in the dearth of leadership in the West is because partisan media is often pushing outright lies and their having clear bias has made the most capable people not want to put themselves (or their families) through the ordeal of running for public office. This is how you wind up with Biden/Harris in the US and Trudeau in Canada. The culpability of the media should not be overlooked... Interesting that to younger audiences seeing the episodes for the first time - the show Friends is much more popular than Seinfeld. Hard to understand why but my suspicion is that younger generations recognize there's a certain meanness of spirit in Seinfeld that's just not there in Friends. Also every "problem" the Seinfeld gang gets involved in could have easily been solved by a cell phone or an app - so they may just think the characters are backward morons... Keep in mind that as prices increase due to inflation and counter productive policies from the Biden Administration - most of those prices are going to remain at those new higher levels. As wages are increased because of cost of living increases those wages NEVER go back down as things improve - say if America once again becomes energy independent and the price of gas comes down. The damage being done is not temporary - its permanent... Something to think about - do you remember when 50 former intelligence officials publicly said the Hunter Biden laptop story was "Russian disinformation?" That was proven to be a lie but those "officials" never faced any repercussions. In fact there's a good chance many of them are working in the Biden Administration today... There's a growing intersection between sports, sports gambling and memorabilia. With that in mind - here's s a business idea: Trading cards celebrating big wins for a gambler. You could have a card with the final score and the point spread plus an action photo from a key moment of the game... Personally I think the phrase "the best thing since sliced bread" should be changed to "the best thing since yoga pants"... Not sure why this occurred to me today but it did - Indianapolis is the only major US city I can think of that has an NFL franchise and an NBA team but no MLB club. Found that strange. Indianapolis is the 15th largest city in the US and there's a couple cities larger than them without an MLB franchise but all of the cities ahead of them at least have an MLB franchise in their state. There’s no MLB team in Indiana... Growing up in New England we had "bubblers" in your part of the country you probably called them "water fountains." I think it would be cool to have "beer bubbler" that dispensed beer instead of water but they would have to be for in-home personal use because I can't think of a viable commercial environment where these could be installed... 115 miles to Cincinnati
185 miles to Chicago (2 Teams)
245 miles to St. Louis
279 miles to Milwaukee
282 miles to Detroit
288 miles to Pittsburgh
325 miles to Cleveland
probably 15 minor league teams (AA or AAA) within 250 miles.
Economics just don't make sense.
Besides, they have Indianapolis Motor Speedway, most big cities have nothing to compete with that.
I've been to games in 4 of those cities, and been to minor league games in several more.
IMHO - minor league games represent what used to be best about Baseball. Intimate venues, fair prices, fun "kitschy" promotions... Family of four can go to a game and probably get out for $100 maybe less. Try that at any professional sports venue....
