Monday Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

One of my goals in life is to write a duel biography of Eddie Rickenbacker and Joe Foss. They were the leading American surviving fighter pilots from World War I and World War II respectively and both led very colorful lives outside the military. Would call the book A Pair of Aces and with another Veteran's Day gone by reminds me I need to get on my horse about doing this... Think it's safe to say that Disney's latest offering The Marvels is getting less than stellar word of mouth. Think the days of people going to see the latest MCU film multiple times is long gone... Speaking of the MCU, one of my pet peeves is that Worcester, which has been New England's second largest city for as long as I've been alive, does not have a single credited hero or super villain. Meanwhile Albany, with less than half of Worcester's population, has Doc Octopus. It's not fair. Worcester at least has many more real-life NHL players.... Have to wonder if Hamas was somehow blamed for coach Jim Harbaugh being suspended - how many Michigan men would volunteer for the Israeli armed forces. And bring their own guns... Genius!... Also think that if Benedict Arnold was born today he'd probably rich and most likely an elected official. Most ordinary Americans probably wouldn't even know his name. Our standards have fallen off a cliff... Who knew? The Latin meaning of the word "inertia" means "inert" or "laziness or idleness." Much different than the scientific definition of the word... More true today than ever... On the bright side - the New England Patriots currently hold the 3rd pick in the NFL draft... Has anyone tried using Phind as an AI?...
