Who knew? The LIV Tour name comes from the Roman numeral for 54 - equal to a birdie for all 18 holes... I'm over 50 and truly believe in the power of habits. That's why I'm working on the habit of not making any audible noises when I get up from a chair, a couch, or my bed. Harder habit to develop than you may think... Firmly believe that in sports deliberately "tanking" (losing on purpose in order to get high draft picks) is an awful strategy. In physics and chemistry there is what is called "phase transition" - basically fluid water wants to remain fluid and frozen water wants to remain frozen. It is difficult to "phase" out from a losing mindset to a winning one. The tanking strategy very rarely works and is a risk not worth trying... Heh heh - Polls indicate more Breakfast Tacos leaning Republican... Knowing the political leanings of many pro golfers I have to wonder how many would have abandoned the PGA for the LIV if it was sponsored by the Clinton Foundation instead of the Saudis (even if the money was the same). And if you think it's divisive now wait until the LIV Tour plays one of Donald Trump's golf courses at the end of the month. From July 29-31 the LIV Tour will be at the Trump National Golf Club at Bedminster... Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies are very underrated when it comes to the best cookies to dunk in milk... The Lexophile could be a good name for a blog or Substack about books... Florida Gators QB Anthony Richardson, who wears uniform number 15, will no longer use the nickname "AR15" because its association with assault rifles may hurt his NIL opportunities. I think he should keep the nickname - I mean nobody associated Tom Brady with tuberculosis (aka TB) because of his nickname... In case you have not heard the news - on Saturday July 16th the US transitioned from the 10-digit National Suicide Prevention Lifeline/Hotline to 988. This was a change that makes a lot of sense but now its important that those who most need it most are aware of the change. The 10-digit number will remain active but route calls to 988...
