Congratulations to Novak Djokovic for winning the men's Wimbledon championship. Also congratulations for staying true to your principles and not getting vaccinated.  If Djokovic is kept from competing in the US Tennis Open in New York because of his vaccination status the winner of this year’s men's championship should have an asterixis next to his name in the record books... I've come to mentally accept all the realignment and ending of traditional rivalries in college football as just part of the "business." Where I draw the line is at the Army-Navy game. Losing that would truly be the end of college football... An inconvenient truth... In my entire lifetime I've not seen a Yankees/Red Sox series have so little hype or interest as this past weekend's series. Baseball is in trouble... If Djokovic is kept from competing at the US Open some network should put up a massive payday for a match against the winner. That match would get tremendous TV ratings. Bigger than whatever ratings the US Open will pull... I would love to get on the 2024 Presidential ballot in some states as "Mr. Biggles" just to see how many votes I'd get. Who wouldn't want to vote for Mr. Biggles?... So has anyone seen or heard from Shepard Smith lately? Seems like its almost time to put his face on a milk carton... Random Animals would be a good name for a band... Sir Anthony Hopkins is the best! The man’s 85-years old!... One of the unheralded NFL hires of 2022 was of Joe Brady, former Offensive Coordinator of the Carolina Panthers and heralded passing coordinator of LSU during their NCAA championship season, who is now the QB coach for the Buffalo Bills. Like Josh Allen needed more help. Or could it be that the hire was unheralded because the bloom is off the rose of once wonderkid Brady?... Did you know that Adam Smith planned to have two follow-up books after The Wealth of Nations? The first was to be on literature and philosophy while the second was to be on law and government... One of the projects under consideration at LIFT (the Lynch Institute for Thought) is the recording of a version of Marvin Gaye's Sexual Healing but by accordions and bagpipes to see if it repels or attracts cockroaches. Figure this proposal would be weird enough to garner some federal grant money from the Biden Administration...
