The Big 10's new TV deal should be worth about $1 billion a year. That's a lot of money and changes the landscape in college football in many ways. Notre Dame is the one team the Big 10 would like to add to the mix but Notre Dame would like to remain independent of any conference. However, Notre Dame’s TV deal with NBC only pays them $25 million a year (ha ONLY) which was groundbreaking at the time but now makes the Fighting Irish vastly underpaid for their value. Here's one way they could once again change the landscape - sign a $100 million per year exclusive deal with Amazon Prime. That would be a bargain for Amazon who just paid $465 for a single season of their new LOTR series and it would lock many new homes into being Amazon Prime subscribers. Just a thought... SNL should have Kurt Russell host just so they could do an Escape from San Fran skit. Somebody playing Nancy Pelosi could be the villain. The things worth escaping from in San Fran make skit almost write itself... Business idea number 1: have fake plastic pennies where you replace Abraham Lincoln with Liz Cheney. You could also have T-shirts that do the same. This is something where the window has probably already closed however. Cheney's 15 minutes are up I think... A recent survey from Delta Dental shows that the average amount left under a child's pillow by the Tooth Fairy is now $5.36. I can't remember what it was when I was a kid (think it was a quarter) and as a parent we used to leave $1. What was it when you were a kid?... Still say the Elf on the Shelf was invented by the NSA to get kids used to being spied on all the time. Now I'm wondering if the Tooth Fairy was maybe a Socialist relic trying to get kids used to government handouts... Can be argued that Deshawn Watson has greatly damaged four franchises the past two years; the Texans who enabled his disturbing behavior, the Dolphins who undermined their starting QB by trying to trade for Watson and helped show the world their owner is a man without a moral compass, the Falcons who ruined their relationship with the greatest player in franchise history in pursuit of Watson, and of course the Browns who sold their souls for $230 million in guaranteed money to Watson... Business idea number 2: you know how there's "Get Well Soon" cards for people you care for who are battling sickness? How about "Get Sick Soon!" cards for people you dislike? Think there's a market for these... Whenever I hear people discuss products like Elon Musk's Neuralink which at some point are supposed to enable non-verbal communication I think of the Larry Miller quote, "If women knew what we were really thinking - they would never stop slapping us." That to me would be the biggest downside to non-verbal communications. Do you really want all of your real thoughts exposed to someone else?... Reminder - linebacker Mike Vrabel has seven more career receiving TD's (11) than former first-round WR pick N'Keal Harry (4)...
