One thought on the Jon Gruden lawsuit against the NFL - someone leaked racist emails sent and received from Gruden's private address to some including people who worked in the NFL. Know who has ALL the emails sent or received from Gruden's private email address including all the additional compromising emails that include NFL bigwigs? Jon Gruden - who may decide to drag many others down with him unless the NFL coughs up some dough... Ratings for the NFL are up 8% this season. Funny how reports of this increase never seem to mention the fact that kneeling during the anthem has basically ceased this year. If you don't think those two things are related - you haven't been paying attention... Speaking of ratings - Kamala Harris' ratings are now lower than the Murphy Brown re-boot. A show so bad people have blocked out any memory of it having existed... "Dionysus appeals to the more ancient, primitive regions of our brains, those dedicated to sex, emotions, movement, touch." - Edward Slingerland in his book Drunk. I'm surprised someone hasn't revived a cult of Dionysus and turned it into a modern religion complete with tax deductions and special status. Instead of day-drinking you could instead tell people you were "going to church"... If you combine the stats from his 1918 and 1919 seasons - Walter Johnson pitched an amazing 616.6 innings with a 1.37 ERA. He allowed just 2 home runs over that period but equally amazing was the fact both home runs were hit by the same player - Babe Ruth... Still say one of the great put-downs of all-time was by Ernest Hemingway in A Moveable Feast where he described the writer Wyndam Lewis as having "the eyes of an unsuccessful rapist." Think about that for a second - such a brutal line... Little known fact - Sweden once invaded the Americas landing at what is now Delaware Bay in 1638... The universe has been cooling since the Big Bang. So wouldn't Global Warming be viewed as a sort of anti-aging process? Who's against anti-aging?... As we enter the Christmas season a gentle reminder - if you are in a bar and play The Christmas Shoes on the jukebox - the other patrons of the bar should be allowed to throw darts at you... Strange thought for the day - if some terminally ill  kid mature beyond his years asked the Make-a-Wish Foundation for a pound of cocaine and a bunch of strippers - how would they handle that request?... Never trust anyone who spouts a utopian-type arguments. The types of arguments that can't stand up to even cursory review. Things like the Green New Deal or $3.5 trillion in spending that will cost $0. Never trust these people...
