Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
To understand that the pendulum of history is always swinging from one side to another realize that when I was growing up the label of "liberal" was one of the worst things you could call someone (remember Mike Dukakis). Meanwhile after WW II the word "conservative" was literally one of the most unpopular words in the nation. Now the word "woke" or the phrase DEI is becoming likewise as unpopular... Glenn Greenwald calls this both the biggest and most under-reported story of 2023... Things are getting so bad that the House of Mouse may soon have to reduce their NAMBLA group discounts... If there's anyone who thinks you can't trust China's economic numbers because the CCP lies but still believes the US government's economic numbers then that person is grossly mistaken... Haven't seen any episodes of the Apple series on the Patriots called The Dynasty but its glaringly poor and unfair treatment of coach Bill Belichick has been remarked on by so many that instead of hurting Belichick at the expense of owner Robert Kraft its having the opposite effect... Coming up on my year anniversary and renewal date for my blue check on X (formerly Twitter). I don't regret my choice to do so at all... An an aside the most ardent defenders that William Shakespeare is both the greatest writer in history and that he wrote his own plays - not Christopher Marlow - generally never graduated from college or do not have either an English or Literature degree. The other people are probably just over-thinking the matter.... Likewise Georgia DA Fani Willis tried to make a name for herself at the expense of Donald Trump but has seen her ploy backfire badly and Trump's profile raised. Now most people want Willis charged with a crime instead... Jimmy Garoppolo signed to be coach Sean McVay's backup QB with the Los Angeles Rams. Not surprised by this but was surprised that Jimmy G is now 32-years old... Being brought up on ethics charges by Georgia DA Fani Willis must be like an ambassador looking up and seeing North Korea heading a Commission on Human Rights... It’s been remarked that the Fighting Irish is not only not considered a racial slur or stereotype - the Irish generally pull for Notre Dame…
