Think I'm not alone in hoping the latest lawsuit against Daniel Snyder and the Washington Commanders drags down the NFL Commissioned as well. The NFL and Roger Goodell were also named as defendants in the suit brought by the DC Attorney General... Time is a flat circle - the new FTX CEO is a former Enron bankruptcy attorney... I would actually love to see this movie... There's a very real chance the College Football Playoff could come down to Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Michigan. Two SEC and two Big 10 teams. And I'm rooting for that chaos and gnashing of teeth... Is it funny or sad that the amount paid to Larry David to star in an FTX Super Bowl ad may be worth more than the company itself at this point. Unless, of course, Larry David was paid in FTX stock... Shouldn't laugh at this but... Wonder if you had a hedge fund that over the past 20-years did nothing but sold short the stock of any public company that either bought naming rights to a stadium or bought ads to air during the Super Bowl - how would that fund be doing? Based on last year's Super Bowl ads (FTX, Carvana, etc.) I'm guessing it would be the best performing fund on the planet... This time of year is when I always wonder - what came first - the Elf on the Shelf? Or the NSA spying on all your data? Think the two may be related. It makes sense that the NSA would invent the Elf on a Shelf just to get generations used to the idea of being spied on... If I were President one thing I'd try to change is our national motto, "E Pluribus Unum." I'd suggest changing it to, "Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad." Seems more fitting on many levels... Saw an interesting point made online a few places, since we now know that FXT was a fraud organization that scammed many out of their money - shouldn't the charities and non-profits that received funds from FXT return that money? Every Democrat that received contributions from FXT or SBF should be asked if they are returning that dirty money. And they should be asked, and asked until they do… Speaking of the NSA - historian Niall Ferguson once wrote that, “Stalin might have added that the telephone was God’s gift to eavesdroppers.” You could easily say the same about the NSA and cell phones. It’s sad that you can make a comparison of an American intelligence agency to Stalin and the metaphor fits… As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button.
