Russell Wilson's nicknames include "the Asterisk" and "Mr. Unlimited." Those nicknames take on whole new meanings now that he's been benched... Bernard Goldberg's book Bias came out in 2001. It is funny to look back and consider that the book was considered controversial at the time and many were denying that liberal bias in the media even existed... Probably should laugh at this but I did… Each year as a tradition I re-read Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. This year I took away a similarity between Scrooge's being visited by three spirits and the Catholic tradition of confession. Also the similarity between Tiny Tim and the idea of "when bad things happen to good people" stood out. Never had these considerations before... Think most parents have the same reaction to the holidays, "Thank God that's over"... Probably shouldn’t laugh at this either… I admit that my interest in Jeopardy! since Alex Trebek died that so did my interest which has now almost completely disappeared. He was truly the best thing about the show... Also saw a post comparing Scrooge to a man who had a change of heart and offered his employee health insurance and a living wage. That post nearly killed the book for me... My biggest disappointment with the Trump administration is that he never followed though with the purchase of Greenland... Some things you can’t unlearn… Next year when the college football playoff expands to 12 teams the bowl system will shortly become a cross between the NIT in basketball and an exhibition football game. Just watch... Although A Christmas Carol is a short book I do have to admit that the last two chapters get me every time. Every time...
