Don't underestimate the potential damage that might be done to the NFL from their outstanding lawsuits. You have Jon Gruden's lawsuit, the Brian Flores discrimination lawsuit, the whole Dan Snyder Washington Commanders mess, and the damage from the $800 million settlement with the City of Saint Louis for the relocation of the Rams to LA. I honestly don't know how Roger Goodell survives all of that... So how do you think the donations to the Clinton Foundation are going these days? The Clintons must have serious dirt on anyone still giving them money... Haven't watched any of the Amber Heard-Johnny Depp trial but if the Jon Gruden trial against the NFL is televised I'll be glued to my screen. Don’t get me wrong - what Jon Gruden said in his emails was heinous and deserved punishment but what someone in the NFL did to him to single him out was equally heinous and many like me are tired of two sets of scales of justice... I say any NGO or charity that has the funds to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos should lose any tax exempt status they might have. Who's with me?... The MCU is far and away much bigger than anything DC Comics has tried to put on screen but remember that wasn't always the case. In 2008 The Dark Knight was the top grossing movie of the year while the original Iron Man came in second. The Batman movie almost doubled the box office of the MCU's initial offering. It was all downhill for DC from there... During this week in 1896 the Dow Jones was created consisting of 12 stocks. Of those top stocks of the day only General Electric is still in business today. Things change over time - never forget that... The Biden Administration is doing wonders for homeschooling and for gun ownership. Wonder if you could put together a list of 12 stocks that specialize in either homeschooling or gun manufacturing or ammo? That would probably be a very successful fund against the Dow Jones of today.. Movie trivia I just learned - Tom Morello, guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and Audio Slave, had a bit part in Iron Man as a guard... Won't lie - I have money bet on the Celtics to win the series against the Heat and also for Boston to win the NBA Championship but my money at risk is nothing compared to what Al Horford has at stake. If the Celtics make the Finals his 2023 salary goes from $14.5 million to $19.5 million and if Boston wins it all his salary becomes $26.5 million. I'm obviously rooting for Horford to get a big payday... Finally got around to seeing The Darkest Hour starring Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill. Minutes into the movie it was clear why Oldman won the Oscar for best actor that year. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it before...
