Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Congress has a passed a ban on TikTok 352-65. I'm of two minds on this. Part of me acknowledges that TikTok is basically a Chinese tool to spy on Americans and weaken our every fiber. The other part of me acknowledges that people like Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen, and Paul Graham seem against the ban and they know the technology much better than most... Ever notice that nobody ever suggests Jill Biden running for office? She's perhaps the most unlikable First Lady of my lifetime. Might not even be close... Remember at the beginning of the pandemic and people were talking about "herd immunity?" That's another phrase that has been memory-holed... Tucker Carlson and Rand Paul are also against the TikTok ban... We’re at the point where I don’t believe any thinking person doubts the Democrats used a willing FBI to set up the events of January 6th. No doubt at all… For what it’s worth I think Jimmy Garoppolo will have at better season at QB than Gardner Minshew. Will be interesting to see where Jimmy G signs and for how much… The NRLB certified the Dartmouth men's basketball team union yesterday. This was a big event but I still don't know what this really means for college sports... Used to be that Subaru’s were synonymous with lesbians to the point of making Martina Navratilova their spokesperson in commercials. Both think Subaru makes a good car and that bringing Martina back in a commercial would would be so well received it would go viral on the Internet… To better end school shootings we both have to deal with mental illness and work to eradicate the phrase “known shooter” because those seem to be the two common denominators in most shootings… Word for today (aka reading the room)…
