It was under the Clinton Administration that Ukraine agreed to give up its nuclear weapons in exchange for protection from Russia by the US and the UK. Why haven't we seen Bill Clinton on all the networks discussing the current events in Ukraine? Or Barack Obama for that matter?... It will be interesting to see the financial reports from Canada's publicly traded banks next quarter. Justin Trudeau's weaponization of bank accounts is bound to have some severe unintended consequences on Canada's financial system (and rightly so)... Think it would be hilarious if CNN asked Chris Wallace to go to Ukraine to be their war correspondent... Just curious but as world events spin out of control has President Biden even asked Congress to return to DC from their "recess?" Or will they just come back next week in time for the State of the Union (which I still suspect will be delayed for ambiguous reasons)... Speaking of CNN - do you think behind the scenes the network is negotiating with Vladimir Putin for "access?" Worked for the network in the Gulf Wars when they were paying Saddam Hussein to allow their personnel and cameras to safely report from the front lines. Of course CNN had to report favorably on Saddam and Iraq. Imagine the same deal would hold for Putin and Russia... Surprised I haven't seen anyone selling "Trudeau - Not My PM" bumper stickers yet. Think those would be popular in Canada at this point... If you wanted to pay a friend to make cookies for you because she is really good at baking that would be perfectly fine but if you asked her to put some THC butter (marijuana) in the batter (even if you live in a State where pot is legal) that most likely would not be legal. Doesn't make any sense. This is just a small example of how we live at a time of too many rules and regulations... Also surprised someone hasn't come out with a brand called Vegan Cigars. All cigars are technically vegan but explicitly calling them Vegan Cigars may appeal to a niche market (as well as to people with a sense of humor). Support the Vegan Economy could be their catchphrase... Sad but we are at the point where the current and probably future generations will envy the way their grandparents and great grandparents lived and survived financially. This is mainly because those past generations did not struggle with massive student loan and credit card debt and had mortgages they paid off not refinanced every five years. Don't think my dad even had a credit card outside of a gas card... I'm concerned about what is happening in Ukraine but I still won't watch any 24-hour news channels to try and keep up. They have proven to spin the truth to their liking and I have no confidence in their competence. I will not add to their ratings or ad revenue with my eyeballs... As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button. Also please subscribe (it's FREE) and share with your friends. Thanks in advance..

Chris - I've found the Telegraph's daily podcast "Ukraine, the latest" to be informative and covers all sorts of stuff that can't get into a 180 second package on a TV cable channel.
