The NBA did their annual GM survey and one GM actually voted for having Joel Embiid as the player he'd start a franchise with. There's two possible explanations for that vote; either it was someone trolling Darrell Morey and Philadelphia (like maybe Denver's GM) or Morey may have a sucker for an Embiid trade on his hands where the 76ers get back a big haul. Remember a GM cannot vote for players from their own franchise so it wasn't Morey drumming up business... Recently re-read John le Carre's The Russia House. An interesting read but I have to admit that I completely read the book picturing Sean Connery as Scott Blair. One of the few books where now I can only picture the star of the movie as the lead... Nick Saban on the importance of nothing… So Steve Garvey is reportedly running for Republican Senator from California. Not sure if this is a step up or step down from Caitlyn Jenner but is does give off vibes of former Pony Express RB Craig James running for Senator from Texas... The other books where I only picture the star of the movie now are The Dead Zone by Steven King starring Christopher Walken and Mario Puzo's The Godfather starring Marlon Brando. Try picturing anyone else in those roles... Temperatures are cooler in the US since 2005 per NOAA and the government despite the presence of much more CO2. Climate change has always been a hoax.... Mike Lombardi points out that Andy Reid was 4-12 in his last season in Philadelphia before writing a second chapter in Kansas City. This Sunday’s game in Vegas will go a long way in determining if Bill Belichick is also forced to write another chapter elsewhere… Letter from the President of the University of Florida. Bravo!… Is it sad that even though I've re-read The Russia House I've yet to re-watch the movie? Different ending in the book vs the movie but guessing if you cast Michelle Pfeiffer you have to include her in the ending, Maybe I’ll watch soon... I’d pay to watch a vaccine debate between Aaron Rogers and Travis Kelce although think Rodgers would want it on Joe Rogan’s show while Kelce would want it on The View. Just saying…
