Netflix lost 200,000 subscribers last quarter then lost 30% of their stock value in a single day. Now they are said to be considering a lower cost ad supported tier. An ad supported tier on Netflix would be a disaster of CNN+ proportions. Many subscribe to Netflix to get away from the commercials. An ad supported tier would do so much damage to the brand... The complete and total failure of CNN+ just goes to show that CNN viewers may be stupid but they're not that stupid... You know who may have more money than Elon Musk and may also be interested in buying Twitter? Apple - who has about $64 billion just in cash on hand. Apple doesn't have a foothold in the social media space and a purchase of Twitter with support for free speech could be a great PR move worthy of Steve Jobs. Also wouldn't be surprised to even see Apple eventually partner with Elon on the acquisition. Elon gets the free speech guarantees and Apple gets an edit button that only works on iPhones - win-win... Would love to read an oral history of the total failure of CNN+ if it was written by someone like Matt Taibbi... With all the advances in CRISPR technology and other medical breakthroughs I wonder how close we are to a true-life Flowers for Algernon situation (but hopefully with an more uplifting ending)... Wonder what Mike Bloomberg thinks to himself every time he sees Joe Biden struggling to say complete sentences. He must feel like he got screwed spending so much money and still losing so handily in the primaries. Wonder why he bothers staying in the Democratic Party... They say the pendulum swings from one extreme to another. Think the phrase "Question Authority" perfectly exemplifies this. In the 60's it was leftist hippies using the mantra but today its more of a saying of the politically Right leaning... The only reason Ken Jeong walked off the set of The Masked Singer after Rudy Giuliani was "unmasked" is because his agent said he had a prime time spot secured for him on CNN+...  Still believe that Americans should replace handshakes with finger guns. The social distancing of the past two years make it socially acceptable but at the same time it will also piss off social justice warriors. PEW PEW PEW... If Jen Psaki found time to go on Chris Wallace's CNN+ show shouldn't she be required to go on every podcaster or YouTuber's channel with at least 10,000 subscribers?
