Haven't mentioned Britney Griner much or at all because frankly I don't care. One of the first Rated-R movies I saw as a kid was Midnight Express and I learned right away to never mess around with illegal drugs in a foreign country. Otherwise you'd end up like Britney Griner. Would be interested to see what Oliver Stone has to say about Griner's case in relation to the Russians and the movie he wrote so many years ago though... Now the robots are forming gangs?... One underappreciated aspect of the Revolutionary War was that for Europeans hunting was almost exclusively reserved for nobility while in the colonies the average farmer learned to hunt to survive often being taught by the Native Americans. This led to the colonials being in general much better shots and more knowledgeable on how to kill a large animal - like a British Redcoat... I would support a move by the NBA to have the uniform number 6 retired by all teams in honor of Bill Russell. This would result in some franchises like Philadelphia having two 6's retired (Doctor J and Russell) but that hasn't been a problem in baseball (think the Yankees with Mariano Rivera and Jackie Robinson's 42)... Really? Makeup company Winky Lux is partnering with Applebee's to launch a line of chicken wing sauce flavored lip gloss. Robert Heinlein was right - we are living in the crazy years... George Fox, who founded the Society of Friends (Quakers), was once arrested in England for intruding on a church service shouting, "Truth is not in this meeting." George Fox is my spirit animal when it comes to most meetings... Still say that Portland, Oregon should be re-named as New Detroit... You learn something new every day - the International Space Station is closer to Earth than San Francisco is to Los Angeles... If I were to start a new religion I'd call it Bill Belichick's Cult of Personality. I think that would be amusing. Our mantra would be, "It is what it is." Wonder if I could get tax-exempt status?... King Charles II of England gave Pennsylvania (28 million acres) to William Penn's family. Basing on what settlers could buy five thousand acres for back then that gift would be worth $11.25 billion in today's dollars. Have a feeling Blackrock will be trying to buy the equivalent of land in the US when the market tanks (with no small help from Blackrock)... Bad Vizards would be a good name for a band. A "vizard" is a mask or disguise... As always if this column has made you smile or think - don't be afraid to hit the like button. Also please subscribe (it's FREE) and share with your friends. Thanks in advance...

I would be happy to convert to Belichickianism. We would answer all unpleasant or impertinent questions with "we're on to Cincinnati."
