Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Remember to the Democratic Party "No Means NO!" Always! (Except when it comes to vaccine mandates or parents wanting to have a role in educating their own children)... According to some if Georgia were to face UMass at a neutral field the Bulldogs would be a 63 point favorite. I'd have to give the points in that situation... Those who support vaccine mandates and vaccine passports seem to generally fall into two categories. The first is those in power who want to cement and further that control (this includes their supporters) and secondly those over 65-years old who seem to have genuinely become afraid of death from COVID. This second group includes strange bedfellows who you'd normally think would be on the side of liberty like Howard Stern and Arnold "screw your Freedoms" Schwartzenegger. Stern is 67 and Arnold is 74-years old... This is what the main stream media has become these days; couple of weeks ago the story of Nicki Manaj's cousin's swollen testicles was one of the top stories in the land. Then - nothing. No follow up. Did anyone ever track down the cousin to report first hand if the stories of his balls were true? This is how you get conspiracy theories... On Monday I asked who was this generation's version of the hippies or the counter culture. I think the answer is increasingly today's counter culture are those who refused to get vaccinated. The new "turn on, tune in, drop out" could be considered to be "don't vax, tune into what freedoms are being threatened, drop out of social media."... The Dixie Chicks were basically US based Bananarama but with political controversy... SpaceX and Crew Dragon launches and recoveries have become so frequent and routine that they are almost no longer newsworthy. That's progress. Great progress... In my lifetime the Democrats went from being the Party of the Blue Collar Workingman, then to the Environmental Party, then to the Woke Party, and now (surprisingly) to the Party of Big Pharma. How long can a Party this schizophrenic survive?... I'm going to try to work the phrase, "I swear by Nicki Manaj's cousin's testicles" into some normal conversations this week. Perhaps it will become this generation's "Great Odin's beard"... Dunkin Donuts already has Christmas decorations on their coffee cups. Too soon Dunkin - too soon... We had the "Tulip Bubble", the "Dot Com Bubble," and the Real Estate Bubble of 2008," could we now be looking at a "California Bubble"? A whole State that's wildly overvalued and just collapses under the weight of it's own regulations and idiocy?... The day that irony died? Michael Jackson before he died came out with a single called One More Chance and it was written by R. Kelly... Ancient Rome had the rallying cry of "Carthago delenda est." Meanwhile Modern America now has the rallying cry of "Let's Go Brandon!"... Nobody's perfect. Not even the revered George Washington - he didn't like whiskey... Bob Dylan is an inspiration to artists both for his creativity and his longevity but it should also be pointed out that his first album only sold 5,000 copies.
