Reminder Congress is supposed to get a continuing resolution bill passed today or risk a government shutdown. My guess is they don’t but make a big deal about working through the weekend to get one done. Most people won’t notice any shutdown or be effected… Article in WSJ reminds people that many knew from early on that Joe Biden was diminished mentally and losing every day. No kidding. Anyone paying attention knew he was diminished. Even anyone debating him at DNC primaries. This should be the first question any reporter who interviewed or supported him has to answer never mind any politician who met with him. When did you first notice Biden was diminished and how come you never said anything?... Why some are opposing Tulsi Gabbard. Think if they did a Venn diagram of politicians supporting the continuing resolution and those opposing Tulsi it would mostly be a circle... Senator Rand Paul puts forth Elon Musk for Speaker of the House reminding people that the Speaker doesn't have to an elected Congressman (remember when Donald Trump was put forth as speaker prior to his re-election?). While I support this move think its worth noting that Rand Paul is a member of the Senate not the House so this isn't technically his fight but he get's to throw this free jab at the House's expense... Shut up and take my money... This week in As the Jets Turn: news comes out that Jets owner Woody Johnson turned down a trade for Jerry Jeudy last year because Jeudy's Madden rating was too low. Jeudy is now having a breakout season for the Browns. Guessing next week's episode will be about Johnson trading for Kirk Cousins. Think his Madden rating is pretty good... Reminder to Hollywood... Think Rand Paul putting Elon forward as Speaker may help DOGE in the long run as representatives may have to publicly say they aren't voting for Musk but will support DOGE... Rumors are swirling that Mike Vrabel may return to the Patriots as head coach and even maybe bring back Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator. Like Jared Mayo as a person but Vrabel gives you a much better chance to win... Yesterday was a big day for Boston sports... The first problem with the proposed continuing spending bill was the very name. The 1,547 pages were not about continuing the government - it was an omnibus spending bill. If a "clean bill" is finally proposed the difference in size will clearly point this out... Like I said - yesterday was a big day in Boston sports history. You know I watched that a number of times yesterday and smiled each time...
