Could MLB suspend Shohei Ohtani for gambling in the wake of Ohtani's interpreter losing a reported $4.5 million to a California bookie? Who's to say these weren't actually Ohtani's bets? How could this effect his fantasy baseball value? A story to keep an eye on... Javier Bardem is one of the more versatile actors around. Not only was he Stilgar in the new Dune but was also both the villain Silva in Skyfall but also memorable pycho killer Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men. All three memorable but very different roles... I can say this because I’m Irish but I think the opening day of March Madness may actually be bigger for bars than Saint Patrick’s Day. A friend who owns a bar disagrees but I know it’s bigger than opening day for the Red Sox will be this year… Related... If the Patriots do select Michigan QB JJ McCarthy with the 3rd pick in the NFL draft no team would be happier than Arizona which holds the 4th pick and may get additional picks or players out of a bidding war... The more you pay attention rhe more you see that most knowledge is actually ancient knowledge just repackaged in modern terms that makes the repackager seem to be a sage… Would like to see a Celebrity Deathmatch style battle between 1984's Stilgar from Dune vs the modern Stilgar and also 1984 version of Gurney Halleck (played by Patrick Stewart) and the modern one (played by Josh Brolin). Perhaps a tag-team match?... Have to wonder if mass layoffs in the corporate media could effect the 2024 elections. We are seeing more and more people getting their news from X and the new media and fewer from traditional media sources while Google and Facebook are also getting fewer and fewer users. What does it say about the media that we may get fairer elections the fewer media members we have?... Can't help but think that Haiti and the Dominican Republic are on the same island. They the same size of a combined Vermont and New Hampshire but its as if the Green Mountain state was also home to cannibals who like soccer instead of baseball... Another actor more versatile than you might think is Florence Pugh who was both the beautiful Princess Irulan in the new Dune but also Yelana Belove in Black Widow and the MCU. Had no idea that was the same actress - never mind that she was also in Oppenheimer...
