Friday Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

After destroying Golden State on Sunday the Celtics lose to Cleveland. Meanwhile the Warriors just beat Milwaukee by 35. That's the NBA. Does any other pro league have scheduled loses like this?... Trying to understand if we have a Big Tech problem in this country or just a Silicon Valley problem. Serious question... Used to be every rational person in the US could support things like this. What happened to us?... Of course the Denver Nuggets beat the Celtics 115-110 in Denver last night. I really only know just the final score for now as the game started at 10:00 PM and I didn’t stay up to watch it. The Bruins beat Toronto 4-1 at the Garden and I enjoyed that game though… If China's economy were to tank it would need a combination of manufacturing jobs leaving for other countries (like Vietnam or India), the real estate market collapsing, and an aging Chinese population. Good thing those things aren't currently happening... The pendulum has almost swung to the point where the movie The Paper Chase could be remade but as a comedy about being a student at woke Harvard. The script basically writes itself... Not to mention being a gateway to the Metric system... Don't think politics has repercussions? New York State has a net negative immigration rate (meaning more people are fleeing the state) while Iraq has a net positive immigration rate (meaning people are moving to the country). Think about that for a minute. Thank God for Texas trying to replace these people with immigrants... Would be funny if the Chicago Bears mistakenly took Brad Williams instead of USC QB Caleb Williams. Hilarious! SNL should do a skit... Think someone had a good laugh writing this...
