Evil Elon Musk
If you came up with a backstory for a James Bond or Doctor Who villain - Musk's real life history would seem too far fetched.
It can be argued that with all the cameras on Tesla cars watching not just the roads but also on the behavior of the drivers coupled with all the private data collected by people buying Tesla's and requesting Tesla insurance issued by the company that Musk would have a pretty big database of people.
Here's another scary thought - what if Elon Musk purchased Twitter to get data on how people think if given true free speech because he wants to input that data into his Neuralink platform to later mind-control people? You have to admit Musk would make an almost perfect villain.
Control of space? SpaceX already has 90% of the rocket launches and payloads sent into space. Couple that with Starlink satellites already ringing the globe. Imagine that sort of control in the wrong hands.
Never mind the fact that most villains seem to live in a liar (the middle of a dormant volcano seems the most prevalent). How do these villains "bore" into these mountains? Well Musk already has the Boring Company.
Add it all together and you get the almost perfect backstory of a James Bond or Doctor Who villain. Thank God Musk's on the side of the American people. At least that's how many felt before this recent fallout with President Donald Trump.
But I have a hard time believing this "spat" between Elon Musk and Donald Trump is real. Have the feeling they agreed to a "good cop" "bad cop" dynamic to get both the Big Beautiful Bill and the DOGE budget cuts passed. Think on it for a second - the Democrats have spent the last few months demonizing Musk and now they are suddenly praising him for being against the Reconciliation bill? His opposition to the bill may get some Democrats to cross the aisle to vote YES on the bill in a "if Musk is against it then I'm for it" kind of way.
Plus you factor in that "Conservative" Democrats (especially those in purple states) may have no better way of showing their independence and looking out for their constituents (and possible re-election) than voting "Yes" on both the Reconciliation Bill and the DOGE cuts.
Both Trump and Musk have thick skins but the faux rage may have gotten a little out of hand as both were enjoying their "mean tweets" too much. Musk has gone so far as deleting some of this more biting tweets and Trump, for his part, has recently praised Elon in comments to reporters. Musk even said, "Few things could convince me to reconsider my position more than Adam Schiff agreeing with me." Sounds like the "good cop - bad cop" routine may be nearing it's endgame.
Still hold to my prediction that this all ends with President Trump introducing Elon Musk in the gallery at his next State of the Union address to a big round of applause from at least half the house (the other half will sit on their hands like he was a 13-year old with brain cancer).
